About the Role
  • We are looking for a polished, service-driven sales professional who enjoys building relationships and creating memorable shopping experiences.
  • As a Boutique Retail Sales Specialist, you'll become a trusted resource for local families by providing personalized recommendations, expert product knowledge, and exceptional service. 
  • Whether assisting first-time parents with their first stroller or helping grandparents choose the perfect gift, you'll play an important role in making every visit special.

  • This position is ideal for someone with experience in boutique, luxury, specialty or consultative retail who loves helping customers make informed purchasing decisions while working in a beautifully curated environment.  
Key Responsibilities
Deliver an Elevated Client Experience
  • Welcome every customer with warmth, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm.
  • Build trust by listening carefully to each family's needs and providing personalized product recommendations.
  • Guide customers through important purchasing decisions with confidence and expertise.
Relationship Building & Sales
  • Develop meaningful relationships with local families that encourage repeat visits and referrals.
  • Create thoughtful, solution-based shopping experiences that help customers find exactly what they need.
  • Confidently assist customers with premium purchases including baby gear, strollers, car seats, clothing, gifts, and toys.
  • Support individual and store sales goals through exceptional customer service and product knowledge.
Visual Merchandising
  • Maintain an inviting, beautifully presented sales floor that reflects the ZukaBaby brand.
  • Restock merchandise, receive new inventory, tag products, and create attractive displays.
  • Take pride in maintaining a clean, organized, customer-ready boutique.
Store Operations
  • Accurately process purchases, returns, exchanges, and gift cards using our POS system.
  • Open and close the boutique as a keyholder.
  • Assist with inventory management, receiving shipments, and fulfilling online orders for pickup, local delivery, and shipping.
  • Support daily store operations and contribute wherever needed.
Product Expertise
  • Become knowledgeable about ZukaBaby's carefully curated products and trusted brands.
  • Stay current on new arrivals and product features to confidently educate customers.
  • Participate in ongoing product training and continuously expand your expertise.

Qualifications
Preferred Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in boutique, luxury, specialty, premium, or consultative retail sales strongly preferred.
  • Experience in children's retail, fashion, home furnishings, jewelry, beauty, gifts, lifestyle, or other customer-focused specialty retail is highly valued.
  • Proven ability to build customer relationships and deliver exceptional service.
  • Previous keyholder experience is a plus but not required.
Skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sales and relationship-building abilities.
  • Comfortable using computers and POS systems.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for shifts of approximately 4–7 hours.
  • Ability to lift up to 25–50 pounds when receiving merchandise or assisting customers.
Schedule
Part-time, approximately 20–24 hours per week.
Availability includes:
  • Several weekdays
  • Some Saturdays
  • Day shifts during store hours:
Monday–Saturday | 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Additional hours may be available during holidays and other busy seasons.
