The Role
We are seeking an outgoing, energetic, and organized individual to join our small team. As a Sales Associate in a children's boutique, you do more than just ring up items; you help parents find the perfect, safe, stylish – and fun- solutions for their growing families.
You’ll deliver exceptional customer service, keep the store bright and inviting, and help grow our community of happy customers. The ideal candidate has great communication and people skills, a positive, welcoming attitude, strong attention to detail and a genuine interest in learning about the latest and best children’s products.
Key Responsibilities
- Curated Customer Experience: Greet families warmly and assist with purchases by providing expert advice on baby gear, clothing, and age-appropriate toys or gifts.
- Sales & Relationship Building: Develop relationships with local families to encourage repeat visits, help them build their shopping baskets, and inform them of new arrivals.
- Visual Merchandising: Maintain a "customer-ready" environment by restocking shelves, tagging new inventory, and ensuring displays are safe, tidy, and appealing.
- Sales Operations: Process transactions accurately using our POS system, handle returns, and assist with receiving new shipments. Fulfill web orders for in-store pickup, delivery and shipping.
- Product Education and Expertise:Develop in-depth knowledge of all of ZukaBaby’s offerings in order to project confidence and expertise when assisting customers with their selections. Full product training will be provided.
Additional responsibilities as needed.
Skills & Experience
- Interpersonal Skills:Excellent sales, customer service and communication skills, with a natural ability to engage families, while providing a warm, polished, and professional presence.
- Retail Experience: Background in retail sales and customer service, ideally 1-3 years in a high-end or specialty retail environment.
- Basic Computer Skills: Comfort using computers for checkout, product research, and web order fulfillment.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to stand for shifts (typically 4–7 hours) and lift up to 25–50 lbs for inventory tasks.
- Teamwork Skills: Must be a positive, friendly, service-oriented, curious, flexible and self-motivated team player.
Availability
Seeking a part-time hire for approximately 10-24 hours per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, some Saturdays and other day shifts as needed. Please note: our store hours are Monday-Saturday, 10am-5pm.
